Comparison of marital satisfaction between mentally-disabled and normal children’s teachers in Sabzevar city during the 2008-2009 academic years

Abstract

This study was done for comparison of marital satisfaction between mentally-disabled and normal children’s teachers in Sabzevar city during the 2008-2009 academic years. In this study 60 normal and 60 mentally-disabled children’s teachers were studied and Enriches question are was used in order to collect data on marital satisfaction.
Data analysis showed no significant differences in marital satisfaction between either of the two groups being studied.
In conflict resolution’s subscale, the mentally-disabled children’s teacher’s had lower scores compared to normal children’s teacher’s had, only. Also there were no martial’s satisfaction differences between two group in age, years spent in the job and gender. As a result there were no differences between two studied groups in marital satisfaction in other words working with mentally-disabled children’s caused decreased marital satisfaction of these children’s teachers compared to normal children’s teachers.
