The emotional culture within the family has a tremendous impact on the academic progress of children and is an important component in their education. This study was conducted with the aim of investigating the emotional atmosphere of the home and family and the academic progress of primary school students in districts 4 and 15 of Tehran. In this regard, qualitative and interpretive phenomenological methods were used. The field of research was the parents of the students of the third to sixth grades of public school for girls in Tehran, district 4 and 15 in the academic year 1402-1401, and 14 people were selected purposefully until they reached theoretical love. For data collection, semi-structured interview technique was used and for data analysis, the seventh step method of colizzi was used. The findings were validated using the validation criteria of Lincoln and Guba (1985). Finally, four themes, family economic status, family social status, family structure and home environment, and 15 subthemes were identified. The results showed that the healthy consequences of home and family lead to the improvement of students' academic performance. Therefore, the type of communication between family members in a house is one of the most important indicators of emotional culture; Therefore, it is suggested that families take steps to improve the quality of student progress by recognizing and strengthening their existential capacities.
