Evaluating the effectiveness of interactive multimedia program "Rahnagasht" on strengthening students' cognitive skills

Abstract

Abstract
Introduction: The interactive multimedia program is intended as a bridge to easier and deeper learning for students, which in some cases has opposite results.This study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the interactive multimedia program "Rahnagasht" on strengthening the cognitive skills of first grade high school students in Shiraz.
Method: This research has been applied and quasi-experimental. The statistical population of this study included the seventh grade students of the first secondary school in the 4th district of Shiraz who were selected by purposive sampling method. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire based on research variables, which consists of four components: executive function, complex reasoning / critical thinking, memory, speed / efficiency. In addition, the interactive multimedia content of "Rahnagasht" has been used in this research. Descriptive and inferential statistics were used to analyze the data using SPSS software.
Results: The results showed that the statistical power between the experimental and control groups in cognitive skills (p <0.05, F = 12.6 and 108.2, otta squared= 0.182 and 0.655, Statistical power = 0.938 and 1.00) There is a significant difference.
Discussion and conclusion: The results show the positive effect of the " Rahnagasht" program on strengthening students' cognitive skills.
