Investigating The Effect Of Happiness Based On The Life Of The Prophet And Imams On The Academic Conflict And Interpersonal Problems Of Students

Abstract

Introduction: The educational Sireh of the prophet (PBUH) and the Imams (AS) is full of rich teachings in the aspect of emphasizing good relationships (intra-personal and interpersonal) and also emphasizing the acquisition of science and knowledge and its study. For example, in the Holy Qur'an, it is very important to pay attention to the concepts of Surah Al-Hujurat, which sheds more light on social issues and the principles of healthy interpersonal relationships in Islamic society. In fact, the social laws stated in this surah can be a charter to solve interpersonal problems. In the Qur'an, the holy book of Muslims, there is a lot of emphasis on the acquisition of science and knowledge, and the first verses that were revealed to the Prophet of Islam were about science, knowledge and human dignity.
Method: This research is a quasi-experimental type of research with control and experimental groups along with pre-test and post-test in order to investigate the changes before and after applying the experimental variable in the experimental group and compare it with the control group. The population of this research includes male students of the high school in Najaf Abad city in the academic year of 2023-2024. A multi-stage cluster was used to select the sample according to the size and distribution of the society, and two schools were randomly selected among boys' high schools, and two classes were randomly selected from each school as the research sample. After that, the classes of one school were randomly selected as the experimental group and the other school as the control group. To measure academic engagement from Zarang questionnaire (2011); And Barkham's (1996) questionnaire was used to measure interpersonal problems. The validity of these two questionnaires was checked and confirmed by subject experts, and its reliability was also confirmed by Cronbach's alpha. Covariance analysis was also used for data analysis.
Results: Examining the presuppositions of covariance analysis in two research questions that examined happiness based on the Sireh of the prophet (PBUH) and the Imams (AS) on interpersonal problems and academic engagement indicated that in both questions the assumptions of homogeneity of regression slope and homogeneity of variance have been met. Therefore, analysis of covariance was used to analyze the results. The results of covariance analysis of the two mentioned questions indicated that happiness based on the Sireh of the prophet and the Imams has effects on academic engagement and reducing interpersonal problems of students. Also, the emphasis of happiness based on the Sireh of the prophet and the Imams, on all the components of interpersonal problems of students (the components of frankness and people-friendliness, openness, consideration of others, aggressiveness, support and participation and dependence), was effective and led to the reduction of students' interpersonal problems.
Discussion and conclusion: Therefore, the general suggestion of the current research is to use the Sireh of the prophet and the Imams to increase academic engagement and reduce interpersonal problems among high school students. Among the limitations of the research is that the implementation of this research among high school students at the level of one class has little generalizability to the larger society, so it is suggested that this research be implemented among students of different grades and cities.
