Causal Correlation between the Class Mastery Goals and the Class Performance Goals with Social Adjustment with the Mediation of Social Development Goals of First Grade Female High School Students

Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the class mastery goals and the class performance goals with social adjustment with the mediation of social development goals of first grade female high school students. The study population included of first grade female high school students from two distinct of Ahwaz city, who were selected via multistage random sampling (n=300). The research instruments were: class goal structure perception questionnaire, Social Achievement Goal Orientation Scale (SAGOS) ant the California Test of Personality (CTP), Statistical analysis of the proposed model was conducted with structural equation modeling. The findings showed that the proposed model of structural equations of causal correlation among studied variables is desirable. Also, structure of class mastery goal, both directly and indirectly, has correlation with social adjustment through the social mastery goal. Better fitness has been made through the elimination of non-significant routes of the class mastery class goal through the social performance goal, class mastery goal through the social performance escaping goal, class performance goal through social mastery goal, class performance goal through social compatibility, and lastly, social performance goal through social compatibility.
