Survey on Faculty Members Viewpoint in Payame -Noor University to the Blended Learning Approach Based on Individual Variables and Computer Skill Level

Abstract

The aim of this study is to compare the faculty members’ computer skills with their viewpoints about blended learning. The research method was descriptive and comparative and data has been analyzed by using appropriate statistical tests. The research population includes all Iranian faculty members in Payame-Noor University. 110 of them were selected as sample size by using Cochran formula. Data collection tool was questionnaire, including computer skills that was designed based on Lin questionnaire (2008) and faculty member’s views about blended learning approach. Validity of the tool was through the content validity and the reliability was through Cranach’s alpha coefficient (0.93). The results showed faculty members are agree to the blended learning approach. There was significant difference between males’ and females’ view, but there was no significant difference to the blended learning in terms of degree of education, teaching experience and computer skills. The faculty members’ computer skills were average and more than average. Between the amount of computer skills of faculty members and their views about blended learning approach, was not significant difference.
