Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of group counseling based on sources of self- knowledge on increasing self esteem of high school girl students. Therefore 24 students were selected and assigned to two groups. Experimental (12 students) and control (12 students) groups. The experimental group received group counseling in 14 sessions. Measurement tool was POP self- esteem inventory (PSI). the result of analysis of covariance and paired sample T test showed that of group counseling based on sources of self – know ledge has increased self esteem of high school female students(p < 0.001).
