Abstract
Present study has been done in order to compare importance of managerial and leadership behaviors from views of school teachers and principals. Statistical population of this study is high school teachers and principals of district 2 in Zahedan. 59 principals were chosen by systematic random sampling and 118 teachers by simple random method from subset of same principals. It is a descriptive- surveying approach for gathering information. Couzes and Pasner’s questionnaire of leadership behavior and Peterson questionnaire of managerial behavior have been used for gathering data. Statistical t- paired and independent tests were used to analyze data. Study findings showed that generally, principals and teachers paid attention equally to leadership and managerial behaviors but in leadership component, modeling the way component in leadership is more important than managerial behavior from principals’ views. On the other hand, managerial behavior is more important than challenge in leadership from principals’ views. Female principals paid more attention to leadership and managerial behaviors than male principals.
