According to the main purpose of the research, the grounded theory method was used. The field of research was the faculty members of Tehran University, and the theoretical saturation of the data was achieved by using theoretical sampling in the 25th interview. Atlas TI software was used to analyze the research data. The findings of the research showed that the criteria of the self-development program were identified as the central category of the study, and the causal factors included the professor's commitment and the university's supervision, the up-to-dateness of the professors, and the skill of the research process. Also, the strategies include the formation of the research council in terms of form and title, moving towards writing excellent theses and treatises, dynamic environment and sufficient facilities and contextual factors including differences in fields, the university professor as an actor, the vision of the self-development program, how to implement the self-development program and Intervening factors include experience gathering from veteran professors, attention to the policy element in the self-development program and the transformation of politics into a self-development program, and the consequences include the way of looking at writing theses and dissertations, empowerment of students, empowerment of faculty members, empowerment of universities, faculties and educational groups, awareness The science of individuals, the doctoral thesis as the intellectual birth of a doctoral student, creating a background instead of riding on a background, moving towards doing cluster specialized doctoral theses, paying attention to the quality of research works, not their quantity, and specialized doctoral dissertations for tomorrow and future generations. هدف پژوهش حاضر شناسایی ملاک‌های برنامه خودتوسعه‌ای شایستگی‌های اعضای هیأت علمی برای هدایت پایان‌نامه‌ها و رساله‌های دانشجویی بود. با توجه به هدف اصلی پژوهش از روش گراندد تئوری استفاده شد. میدان پژوهش، اعضای هیأت علمی دانشگاه تهران بودند که با استفاده از نمونه‌گیری نظری در بیست و پنجمین مصاحبه، اشباع نظری داده‌ها حاصل شد. برای تحلیل داده‌های پژوهش از نرم‌افزار اطلس تی آی استفاده شد. یافته‌های پژوهش نشان داد که ملاک‌های برنامه خودتوسعه‌ای به عنوان مقوله محوری مطالعه شناسایی شد و عوامل علّی شامل تعهد استاد و نظارت دانشگاه، به‌روز بودن استادان و مهارت آئین پژوهش بود. همچنین راهبردها شامل شکل‌گیری شورای پژوهشی از نظر شکلی و عنوانی، حرکت به سمت نگارش پایان‌نامه‌ها و رساله‌های فاخر، محیط پویا و امکانات کافی و عوامل زمینه‌ای شامل تفاوت در زمینه‌ها، استاد دانشگاه به مثابه یک بازیگر، چشم‌انداز برنامه خودتوسعه‌ای، نحوه پیاده‌سازی برنامه خودتوسعه‌ای و عوامل مداخله‌گر شامل تجربه‌اندوزی از استادان پیشکسوت، توجه به عنصر سیاستگذاری در برنامه خودتوسعه‌ای و تبدیل سیاست به برنامه خودتوسعه‌ای و پیامدها شامل طرز نگاه کردن به نگارش پایان‌نامه‌ها و رساله‌ها، توان‌افزایی دانشجویان، توان‌افزایی اعضای هیأت علمی، توان‌افزایی دانشگاه‌ها، دانشکده‌ها و گروه‌های آموزشی، آگاهی علمی افراد، رساله دکتری به مثابه زایمان فکری دانشجوی دکتری، پیشینه‌سازی به جای پیشینه‌سواری، حرکت به سمت انجام رساله‌های دکتری تخصصی خوشه‌ای، توجه به کیفیت کارهای پژوهشی نه کمّیّت آن‌ها و رساله دکتری تخصصی برای فردا و آیندگان بود. https://tlr.shahed.ac.ir/article_4621_d8bf762f43165c1bb83356baa37729a1.pdf
