This theory is a useful framework for evaluating multi-dimensional and hierarchical nature of goal provides the motivation. The aim of this study is to investigate a multi-dimensional and hierarchical structure of achievement goal orientation. Methods: The population consisted of all high school students in Shiraz who were enrolled in school year 91-90. The sample of 850 students (420 boys, 415 girls) was selected using random sampling. All participants completed questionnaires of school motivation. First-order and higher-order models were tested using confirmatory factor analysis. Finding: Confirmatory factor analysis results indicated that the data with a model of eight first-order factors with four second-order factors are a better fit. Reliability analysis using Cronbach's alpha showed that seven factor, task, effort, competition, social power, social concern, praise have an internal consistency. First-order correlation range was 0.26 (Homework - social power and social concerns - praise) to 0.62 (task-effort). Conclusion: The findings of the study provide a strong theoretical structure and a tool for future research in school motivation. Theoretical and practical implications of the findings were discussed. یکی از نظریه‌هایی که انگیزش را به صورت مدل هدف چندگانه در نظر می‌گیرد،  نظریه سرمایه‌گذاری شخصی مائر است. این نظریه چار چوب مفیدی برای ارزیابی ماهیت چندبعدی و سلسله مراتبی هدف‌های انگیزش، فراهم می‌آورد. هدف مطالعه حاضر بررسی ساختار چندبعدی و سلسله مراتبی جهت‌گیری هدف پیشرفت بود. جامعه آماری دانش‌آموزان دوره متوسطه شهر شیراز بودند. نمونه‌ای به حجم 835 دانش‌آموز (420 پسر، 415 دختر) با استفاده از روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی چندمرحله‌ای، انتخاب شد. شرکت‌کنندگان پرسشنامه انگیزش مدرسه را تکمیل کردند. مدل‌های مرتبه اول و مرتبه‌های بالاتر با روش تحلیل عامل تاییدی آزمون شدند. نتایج تحلیل عامل تاییدی نشان داد؛ داده‌ها با مدل مبتنی بر هشت عامل مرتبه اول با چهار عامل مرتبه دوم برازش مناسب‌تری دارند. تحلیل اعتبار با روش آلفای کرونباخ نشان داد؛ هفت عامل تکلیف (0.7)، تلاش (0.8)، رقابت (0.81)، قدرت اجتماعی (0.84)، نگرانی اجتماعی (0.78)، تمجید (0.83) و جایزه گرفتن (0.89) ، هماهنگی درونی مناسب دارند. دامنه همبستگی بین عامل‌های مرتبه یکم از 0.26 (تکلیف – قدرت اجتماعی و نگرانی اجتماعی – جایزه گرفتن) تا 0.62 ( تکلیف – تلاش) بود. یافته‌های پژوهش ساختار نظری قوی و یک ابزار برای پژوهش‌های آتی حوزه انگیزش مدرسه، فراهم می‌کند.<br />   https://tlr.shahed.ac.ir/article_2517_c5dc3e08849bec07e33ca353de62ea04.pdf
