The present study aims to investigate the relationship between professors' character and dialogue-oriented teaching from the point of view of the students in University of Isfahan using structural equation modeling. This study is an applied one collecting data through descriptive-correlative methods. Statistical population of the study included 13281 students of Isfahan University in the school year 2012- 13 and 220 students were selected via random sampling as the statistical sample. The data were collected using a researcher-made questionnaire whose reliability was confirmed by experts in the field. The validity of the questionnaire was also calculated to be 0.97 via Cronbach alpha. The data collected were analyzed by AMOS, Smart PLS and SPSS computer applications. Results revealed that there is a significant relationship between professors' character and dialogue-oriented teaching (t=60.95). Moreover, the secondary hypotheses were so corroborated i.e. there was a significant relationship between indices of character including humor, wisdom, enthusiasm and compassion and dialogue-oriented teaching.  Yet, the study failed to find any relationship between indices of honesty and courage and dialogue-oriented teaching. Thus, it could be concluded that conducting dialogue-oriented teaching in educational systems necessitates professors of high characters.
